NO MORE ELASTIC WAISTED PANTS!
Today was a very exciting day for me, I was able to put on a pair of jeans that I wore before I got pregnant with Jacob and they actually fit pretty good. Jacob is now 3 and a half weeks old and I think I have lost almost all of the weight that I gained during this pregnancy, its too bad everything doesn't go back to the same place it started as fast. Although this is not my ideal weight, I still have about 15 lbs left from my first pregnancy and about another 30 lbs that I would like to lose for my own health, I am feeling pretty good about this. Hopefully in another 3 weeks I need to go shopping for smaller clothes. I did go shopping today just to get a few things to wear while I am still trying to drop more weight, you know it doesn't really matter what size the clothes are as long as you feel good and look good, I learned this from 'What Not To Wear', one of my favorite shows, you should really catch it sometime. Well that's all the good news I have for today.

Sleeping
I know that most new moms are lacking sleep, but that is one thing that is not lacking at our house. The first few days home with Jacob were tough, nursing non-stop throughout the night, but then all of a sudden this wonderful little boy decided he could go 4 hours without eating. Yeah! And again the other night he decided 4 hours wasn't long enough and began sleeping for one 6 hour stretch, usually from about 10pm to 4am. I know sometimes that God takes awhile to answer prayers, but he answered our prayers for sleep within the first 10 days of Jacob's precious life. I just want to say how thankful I am for this answered prayer, it makes all the lonely, tough days just a little easier when you are not sleep deprived.

Jacob Alan Fouts
We have finally welcomed the newest on addition to our family. Jacob Alan was born on Feb. 2, 2009 at 6:09 pm, he weighed 9 lbs 5 oz and was 21.5 in long. After one failed induction on Jan. 26 we rescheduled for a second time on Feb. 2 and he was born after only about 11 hours at the hospital, I am not sure if I was in active labor that whole time, I would say I was in labor for more like 5 to 6 hours before he arrived. The best part was once labor began to get really bad he was here in less than 2 hours, and I only had to push through 3 contractions to deliver him. Well I am not sure what else to say except that I hope he sleeps better tonight than he did last night. Here are some pictures of our handsome little boy.
