Funny little Brenna
We had such a silly day today. I decided to get out the mirror that Brenna used to use when she laid on the floor as a baby, for Jacob to admire his handsome self. Well Miss Brenna thought that it was absolutely hilarious that she could see Jacob in the mirror, not realizing that she could also see herself in the mirror ( I guess she hasn't quite figured that one out yet), so when she moved the mirror away from Jacob she kept trying to look for him in it. This was very cute and if my video camera would have had charged batteries I would have taped this. It is too bad that I don't just have a video camera taping our every move. On that note, why don't they do any television shows about the normal typical stay-at-home mom, with only two kids and a dog. I know that people with multiples are more interesting, but come on if you spent a day at my house you would be thoroughly entertained (mostly by me getting frustrated with my children cuz I can't do it all at once). Anyways, the next time we get the mirror out for Jacob I will be sure to have the camera running.

Brenna's Birthday
On Brenna's birthday, March 19, we had a super fun day. Our day started off with lunch at Burger King with Averi, Lyndsey, Aunt Susan and Grandma Fouts. Then it was off to the Big Apple for some fun in Ballocity. I would recommend this to anyone trying to wear themselves and their children out, it was a ton of fun. Brenna really loved the slides. Brenna's Great-grandma also came to watch the kids play in Ballocity. After our trip to the Big Apple Brenna had her 2 year check up, she now weighs 26 lbs and is 33 1/2 inches tall. All in all her check up was very good, the nurses gave her stickers and bracelets for her birthday. I am so thankful that we had such a good report at the doctors. After all the fun for the day Brenna went home and took a very long nap, followed by dinner at Valentino's with Grandma and Grandpa Fouts. What a wonderful day. We are so blessed by this wonderful little girl.

Brenna is 2!
I can't believe that little Miss Brenna is already 2. Time sure flies by, it seems like just yesterday she was just as little as Jacob and we were getting up in the night with her. Now she sleeps through the night and talks our ears off.
Here are the top ten things Miss Brenna loves to do.
1. Watch cartoons on the Disney Channel
2. Play outside
3. Blow bubbles
4. Play with Grandpa
5. Swing
6. Hug her Mommy
7. Pretend to cook
8. Take a bath
9. Read books
10. See her Daddy when he gets home from work.
Brenna is our little miracle and I thank God everyday that we were chosen to be her parents. She always has a bright smile and a big attitude that can always brighten your day. I can't imagine this world with out Miss Brenna. I Love You!

Jacob is 1 month old
It is hard to believe that a month has gone by since we welcomed our sweet little boy into this world. Today we went to the doctor for Jacob's one month check up. He now weighs 11lbs and is 23 and 3/4 inches long, what a big boy. His doctor said he looked great and we needed to come back when he is two months old. I am very thankful today for Jacob having a healthy check up, Praise the Lord!

NO MORE ELASTIC WAISTED PANTS!
Today was a very exciting day for me, I was able to put on a pair of jeans that I wore before I got pregnant with Jacob and they actually fit pretty good. Jacob is now 3 and a half weeks old and I think I have lost almost all of the weight that I gained during this pregnancy, its too bad everything doesn't go back to the same place it started as fast. Although this is not my ideal weight, I still have about 15 lbs left from my first pregnancy and about another 30 lbs that I would like to lose for my own health, I am feeling pretty good about this. Hopefully in another 3 weeks I need to go shopping for smaller clothes. I did go shopping today just to get a few things to wear while I am still trying to drop more weight, you know it doesn't really matter what size the clothes are as long as you feel good and look good, I learned this from 'What Not To Wear', one of my favorite shows, you should really catch it sometime. Well that's all the good news I have for today.

Sleeping
I know that most new moms are lacking sleep, but that is one thing that is not lacking at our house. The first few days home with Jacob were tough, nursing non-stop throughout the night, but then all of a sudden this wonderful little boy decided he could go 4 hours without eating. Yeah! And again the other night he decided 4 hours wasn't long enough and began sleeping for one 6 hour stretch, usually from about 10pm to 4am. I know sometimes that God takes awhile to answer prayers, but he answered our prayers for sleep within the first 10 days of Jacob's precious life. I just want to say how thankful I am for this answered prayer, it makes all the lonely, tough days just a little easier when you are not sleep deprived.

Jacob Alan Fouts

We have finally welcomed the newest on addition to our family. Jacob Alan was born on Feb. 2, 2009 at 6:09 pm, he weighed 9 lbs 5 oz and was 21.5 in long. After one failed induction on Jan. 26 we rescheduled for a second time on Feb. 2 and he was born after only about 11 hours at the hospital, I am not sure if I was in active labor that whole time, I would say I was in labor for more like 5 to 6 hours before he arrived. The best part was once labor began to get really bad he was here in less than 2 hours, and I only had to push through 3 contractions to deliver him. Well I am not sure what else to say except that I hope he sleeps better tonight than he did last night. Here are some pictures of our handsome little boy.
